بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
I found these very beneficial and interesting lectures by Moosa Richardson, on the Islamic *tarbiyah with the understanding of the prophet (ﷺ) and the sahaba. They are 6 lessons in total, inshAllaah I will be posting one every week on my blog (you can go ahead and listen to them all if you like here) as I don’t really like to share a lecture unless I have heard it myself, this way I can make time and listen to one ever week. This lesson is based on the beautiful hadith, it is about rahma (mercy) and how it is very important to implement this with the raising of your children.
Here is a small (paraphrased) extract from the lecture, I it thought was a lovely insight regarding mercy and children.
“Rahma (mercy) is the central part of tarbiyah, it is Allaah Al-Rahman (the most merciful) who provides one of the two spouses through her rahm (in arabic womb is called rahm which comes from the word rahma, mercy.) a child in which Allaah puts rahma between husband and wife. Then the baby comes out of the most merciful of the two of them, the mother”
*Tarbiyah means to do well in taking care of the child’s need from birth till they reach puberty.
